Mes chers confrères,

Lors de l’Assemblée Générale qui se profile à l’horizon, les Avocats choisiront leurs pairs qui auront l’insigne honneur d’être aux destinées des instances de notre Ordre : l’occasion est donc donnée aux avocats de choisir librement ceux qui peuvent redorer le blason de notre corporation.

Chacun de nous dans son for intérieur peut juger de l’état dans lequel se trouve l’Ordre à ce jour :

Un Ordre aphone, inaudible face aux violations permanentes des droits dans la cité, incapable de protéger ses membres dans l’exercice de leur métier. Bref un ordre méprisé par toutes les institutions.

Au moment du vote, nous devons choisir des confrères dévoués, intègres, travailleurs, protecteurs de la profession, respectueux de la déontologie, dotés d’un carnet d’adresses qui peuvent redynamiser, redorer le blason du Barreau déjà terni, et nous devons avoir les instances ordinales qui peuvent enfin porter la voix du Barreau.

Nous devons nous départir de nos réflexes identitaires et communautaristes pour enfin choisir des confrères méritants et représentatifs.

Tout cela est possible, si nous pensons à l’ordre qui est notre référentiel commun.

En 2003, je prêtais serment comme avocat. Cela fait donc exactement 19 ans que je suis inscrit au Tableau de l’Ordre, candidat malheureux à l’élection des membres du conseil de l’Ordre en 2018, je voudrais vous réitérer ma candidature cette nouvelle fois pour être, comme à l’accoutumée, au service de l’Ordre qui a fait de moi ce que je suis aujourd’hui.

Dear colleagues,

At the forthcoming General Assembly, the lawyers will choose their peers who will have the honour of  being in charge of our Order’s bodies:

this is therefore an opportunity for the lawyers to freely choose those who can restore the reputation of our corporation.

Each of us can judge in his or her own mind the state in which the Order finds itself today:

A voiceless Order, inaudible in the face of permanent violations of rights in the city, incapable of protecting its members in the exercise of their profession. In short, an Order that is despised by all institutions.

At the time of the vote, we must choose devoted, honest, hard-working, professionally protective colleagues, respectful of the code of ethics, with an address book that can revitalise and restore the already tarnished image of the Bar, and we must have ordinal bodies that can finally carry the voice of the Bar.

We must get rid of our identity and community reflexes in order to finally choose deserving and representative colleagues.

All this is possible if we think of the order which is our common reference point.

In 2003, I was sworn in as a lawyer. I have therefore been a member of the Bar for exactly 19 years, and as an unsuccessful candidate in the election of the members of the Bar Council in 2018, I would like to reiterate my candidacy this time to be, as usual, at the service of the Bar, which has made me what I am today.
